Webvisions offers a wide range of tape backups services including tape back up services, tape media management and offsite storage service. These backup services offer an extra level of comfort for a customer and ensures that you have as much backup protection as required.

Tape Backup Services

The Webvisions siteBackup Service provides full management of a customer's data backup process. The service is ideal for customers already having the necessary backup process, applications, devices and tapes in place but need a Webvisions systems administrator to oversee and manage the backup process. Webvisions staff can provide this service on an on-demand basis.

Services Included:

• All services provided during 9am-6pm SGT time frame
• Backup process verification
• Customer to help define what constitutes a successful backup process
• Monthly tape data verification. Customer to provide data verification procedures
• Add new file names and/or directories for backup
• Data restoration
• Insert necessary tapes for restoration as identified by customer initiate restore process

Note: Webvisions does not guarantee the integrity of backup media or the success of any backup or restore. Customer is responsible for verifying success of restoration process.

Sun StorEdge 4mm DDS-3 Tape Drive
The 4mm DDS-3 tape drive triples its predecessor's capacity at 12GB, making it a superior solution for workstation backup and archive, as well as data distribution and interchange, for customers in any industry. With data compression, you can store up to 24GB per drive. Includes 10 tapes.

Tape Media Management

Tape media management (scheduled or on-demand) for 1 tape per drive Put new or recycled tapes into jukebox or tape device on a weekly basis or a monthly basis Remove tapes from a jukebox or tape device Catalog and place removed tapes in on-site Webvisions-provided tape storage container.
